For 40 years, Tom was known throughout the dirt track racing community as the “00.” He was a winner of multiple track championships, inspiring race fans both young and old. Wayne was born on August 17, 1945 in New Brunswick, NJ, the son of the late Myrtle Voorhees Smith and Harry D. After graduating from Washington High School in Washington, NJ, Wayne joined the U. Later he was employed by SI Handling Systems in Easton, PA. and Canada as well as some worldwide installations.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, Dec. While there, he worked as an Installation Field Superintendent of various automated systems. After many years of travel and time away from family, Wayne decided to pursue another dream and the family purchased their current farm in Watkins Glen.

Peters and his wife, Sonia, of Granby, VT; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. Johnsbury Academy in 1958 and pursued collegiate studies at Lyndon Teachers College (Lyndon State College), Rutgers University and the University of Rochester. Bill was an active member of his community, serving on several boards of directors including the Schuyler County Chamber of Commerce, the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Corporation, and many proud years with Schuyler Hospital, where he served time as chairman.
